BATU Exams and Revised Academic Calendar | COVID-19

Major changes have been implemented by dbatu university in academic calendar and exams due to COVID-19. For safety against corona virus and to break the chain, interim vacation to the faculties and the students was declared from March 15 to April 30. Further more it has been extended till May 17 by the government. After the release of guidelines by University Grants Commission UGC and Government of Maharashtra,  Exams, commencement of class and academic calendar of  DBATU will change in view of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.

Exams and Promotions

As per the government advisory, the semester examinations of university have been cancelled for all the students excluding final year students and the students will get promoted to next year based on their previous records. However, exams for final year students will be conducted after July 1, the decision will be reconsidered on June 20 corresponding to the situations in the state. Students are requested to keep visiting the official website for more updates regarding exams and academic activities. Following are some changes in academic calendar afterwards.

Promotion rule for Students with ATKT (Backlogs)

Performance of previous year and current year shall be taken 50-50% for promoting students to the next year. Marks of online mid sem exam and internal assessments of current semester will be considered while promoting. A student failing in this grading pattern will also get promoted and will be has chance to clear all papers in next year. Students with ATKTs will also be promoted to next year, but have to clear backlogs within 120 days after starting next year.Although, semester exams have been cancelled, mid sem exam will be conducted in online mode by the institutes and internal assessments will be taken into account for evaluating grades. Revised academic calendar will be published at official website after the lock down period. Mid sem exams are cancelled and shall be held in online mode by the institutes. Notification for the mid sem exam will be published soon and necessary changes will be implemented in academic calendar.
